NEW LIFE IN CHRIST PT. 7 “In This World”
Jesus doesn’t ask God to remove us from the earth, He is sending us into all the earth. Our great commission is to go and make disciples, teaching them all about Jesus, in our neighborhoods, our cities, our nation and to all the nations of the earth. So instead of asking God to take us out of the world, Jesus simply asks God to keep us from the evil one and his influence in our lives.
From the moment Jesus and the disciples entered the upper room for their Passover meal, Jesus began to prepare them for life after He ascended back to His rightful place in glory.
Jesus was sending them into the world, not rescuing them out of it. And, He has more than equipped them for the work of being effective witnesses of Jesus into the nations.
